About Me
Welcome, I'm Samantha.
I'm a warm and grounded psychotherapist, who takes an approach where you can feel at ease to share your challenges and explore who you are as an individual. I offer a non judgemental space that ensures an openness at a pace that works for you. My work is underpinned using Gestalt Theory and Psychodynamic Theory, both of which I feel naturally guides and aligns with my clinical work. My work has led me to work with organisations such as Clean Break, and the NHS, which has included an East London psychiatric forensic unit, and the Tavistock and Portman Trauma Service. My formal UKCP Psychotherapy training was held at the Institute for Arts in Therapy and Education (IATE) accredited by the University of East London (UEL). My intensive formal training and additional training includes the following:
I am a registered HCPC practitioner and follow their standards of conduct, performance and ethics. I am also a member of BAAT and BAATN. When in clinical practice I receive regular supervision. Tai Chi and Qigong I have been a Tai Chi and Qigong practitioner for over 10 years through the Mei Quan Academy. Integrative Arts Psychotherapy uses similar somatic practices which enable you to establish an internal connection and awareness within your body, supported by the practice of breath work. Pepper Art Co. Additionally, in my spare time I am also a gardener, illustrator and community arts facilitator. You can view some of my illustrations and community work at Pepper Art Co. |
